Winning at all costs is not gonna be okay

Don't think Obama is above the fray here. But I want to focus on Hillary in light of yesterday's heavyweight letter to the DCCC.

Hillary has a right to be in this race. We have a right to have her in it. But. The party is looking to take ground at all levels of government this fall. November is important. During the famous crying moment, Hillary said she was in this for the sake of the country... so she can't have it both ways. As shocking as it may seem, in America, personal ambition and the greater good are not always friendly with each other.

We like winners. Winning is good. Winning at all costs is not. Gaming for 2012 is not good. Gaming the delegate math is not good. Ripping up compatriots is not good. Dividing and conquering the party is not good. Hillary, this doesn't mean bowing out. This means: be true.

I could get rich robbing banks. But dang it, that wouldn't be so okay. As ambitious as I might be, making money the hard way -- sigh -- is the right way. Let's call a spade a spade: Hillary, what do you care about? Yourself? Power? Your party? Your country? Winning at all costs is not gonna be okay.
